According to a recent list shared by investor Adam Cochran, over 359 projects outside of The Ethereum Foundation and ConSensys are building on the protocol. Among the list are heavy hitters and well-known brands like Nike, Microsoft, Intel, Amazon, and many many more.
The list is eye-opening, and really sells the fact that not only are many of the world’s biggest brands building on Ethereum, but it also shows just how much potential the asset holds in the future
According to Wikipedia, “Ethereum is an open source, public, blockchain-based distributed computing platform and operating system featuring smart contract functionality. It supports a modified version of Nakamoto consensus via transaction-based state transitions.”
It was first released on 30th of July 2015 and was written in C++, Go, Rust, Solidity with original authors as Vitalik Buterin and Gavin Wood.
