$6 MIllion in grants offered by the Australian Government to Innovative Blockchain teams

About two grants of $3 million has been made available by the Australian government to blockchain teams that are aiming excise taxation solutions and minerals certification.

The application for the $3 million grant is currently open, and of which the eligibility for the application are: publicly funded research organization, sole trader, partnership or an entity that is registered in Australian that has a Business number in Australia.

The food and Beverage Provenance pilot and Critical Mineral Pilot are the two distinct pilots that are to be funded by grant. As regards to the food and beverage provenance pilot grant, is aimed at aiding the team manage the complexities with the producers of spirit in complying with excise taxation.

The Critical Minerals Pilot will support a project seeking to bolster supply chain integrity for the industry, and will also expect contributions to Australia’s National Ethical Certification Scheme to prove the provenance of locally produced minerals exported to international markets.
