Coinbase App Adds Support for Real-Time Price Alerts

On June 20th, Coinbase announced that it was introducing real-time price alerts for any cryptocurrency supported by Coinbase to the Coinbase mobile app for iOS and Android.

Brian Armstrong, Co-Founder and CEO of Coinbase on May 16th, held an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on YouTube, during which he mentioned that his team was working on a new price alert notification system:

“In the past we gave people the ability to set it [notification] up manually… but what we’ve been doing recently is actually something more machine learning-based in the background where if there’s a price movement or change in the market that we think you should know about we’re going to push that notification to you proactively.”

With this new feature, you automatically get to find out about “market moves” on the cryptoassets that you are interested in.

In a published blog post ,the Coinbase team explained how the new feature works. Make sure that you have updated to the latest version of the Coinbase mobile app.

Notifications are enabled for “Price Alerts” by default. This means that you are automatically notified “when there’s a significant change in the price of a cryptocurrency” on your Watch list.

Note From Author – The Crypto and Blockchain industry are really evolving faster than imagined. With the upcoming and believed possible launch of Facebook’s Libra, the crypto industry will eventually see a huge limp into the heart of humans.
