Crypto Mining Could Add $8.5 Billion to Iran's Economy

After developing new regulations for its digital assets industry, Iran’s government has issued over 1,000 licenses for crypto mining in the country. Amir Hossein Saeedi, an official with Iran’s ICT Guild Organization, told that the crypto mining industry has the potential to add $8.5 billion to the economy and many people are interested in setting up their own operations.

Saeedi also added that several large industrial farming miners have already been set up by big investors entering the space.

Cryptocurrency has been polling wait as of late. When Bitcoin launched in 2008/2009 nobody knew it would go this far. Iran went against crypto mining last year (2019) but this could add so much to their economy. My pain with this crypto space is that Africa, especially my country Nigeria is still sleeping when it comes to the issue of Digital assets. Ghana even considered a Central Bank Digital currency as of late.
