Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin recently said BTC and BCH are not the same, and tweeted “Bitcoin cash is not bitcoin”, although previous tweets show he is not against BCH outright.
According to Buterin’s comments, it seems like the Ethereum co-founder has not always been negative toward Bitcoin Cash, but he has clearly signified a difference between BTC and BCH through the years.
Per Wikipedia, “Bitcoin Cash is a cryptocurrency that is a fork of Bitcoin. Bitcoin Cash is a spin-off or altcoin that was created in 2017. In 2018 Bitcoin Cash subsequently split into two cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin Cash, and Bitcoin SV. Bitcoin Cash is sometimes also referred to as Bcash.”
The cryptocurrency’s supply limit is 21,000,000 BCH and it’s ledger start date is 3rd January 2009. Many people do confuse Bitcoin with Bitcoin cash which should not be done as they are separate cryptocurrencies just as has been noted by Vitalik.
