Takashi Murakami, the Japanese musician dives into NFT world

Takashi Murakami, the acclaimed Japanese contemporary artist, after drawing inspiration from digital Beeple and his recent $69 million success in the crypto art world, has entered the NFT World.

Through an Instagram post he made on March, 31, Takashi announced his dive into NFT and with the release of 108 Murakami flowers which reveals the digital illustration of flowers in 8-bit , which he released in partnership with Yoshishia Hashimoto, an online game authority.

From observation of  his children play the Nintendo Switch game Animal Crossing with their friends, he became focused on digital art and virtual world.

In the words of Murakami he said:

 “They were watching some fireworks display within the game while talking with their school friends, who they could no longer meet in person, through Zoom, admiring how beautiful it was.“

Also he added that: “I saw the reality of the shifting values when I realized that these children could discern beauty within a virtual world.”
