Criminals Threaten Amsterdam Businesses To Pay Bitcoin Or Face Explosives

Pay Bitcoin

Owners of businesses in Amsterdam are embroiled in fear of criminals who are threatening to cause acts of terror except they are paid an extortion fee in bitcoin. They want the business owners to Pay Bitcoin or get attacked.

According to NLTimes, emails have been sent to multiple businesses in Amsterdam demanding bitcoins worth 50,000 euros.

The emails made known that failure to pay will make hand grenades to be planted at the business premises or the businesses will be flooded with bullets forcing closure.

A part of the emails read: “You probably noticed how many entrepreneurs have had to close their doors recently by order of the municipality. To prevent you from being the next one, you must immediately take action,”

To pay the fee, victims are instructed to open an account on either of these two cryptocurrency exchanges – Coinbase and Coinmama. They are then required to buy bitcoins on either exchange and transfer them to a specified address.
